Feedback to IBM re: installing the Net.Data 6.1.1.1 patch/upgrade: 1. I stopped every possible process I could find that might relate to Net.Data. This includes stopping the active WebSphere instance (via the configuration manager), stopping all DB2 tasks (from the DB2 control center), and stopping all web servers. 2. /bin/admintool could not successfully remove the NetData package. However, pkgrm removed it just fine. 3. The installation instructions that are in the Net.Data 6.1.1.1 update package note: /cgi/cgi-bin/db2www: move/copy this Net.Data CGI executable file to your Web Server CGI directory. /cgi/docs/db2www.ini: move/copy this Net.Data initialization file to your Web server document root directory. Contrary to these directions, there is no /cgi/ directory, replace the above with /cgi-bin/db2www and /docs/db2www.ini. Furthermore, if installing the upgrade, ignore the 2nd step entirely(!), since it just trashes whatever local changes you've already made to your db2www.ini file. 4. After installing the upgrade, the WebSphere Studio "Store Creator" no longer appears to be able to create a new store. It publishes the net.data macro files, but does not actually create the initial records for a new store. This can be done "by hand" from the "ncadmin" commerce suite tool.
